HYDRO-Ingenieure Energie & Wasser GmbH provides consulting and engineering services for the sustainable provision and use of the resources energy and water. The focus of our work is on wastewater and sludge treatment, water supply and treatment , and decentralized energy systems. We provide all services required for the realization of projects in these areas from a single source.
Company structure and staff qualification
HYDRO-Ingenieure Energie & Wasser GmbH has its headquarters in Kaiserslautern as well as locations in Darmstadt and Karlsruhe. The number of employees in 2023 is about 30 persons with the following qualifications: Civil engineers, mechanical engineers and technicians, electrical engineers and technicians, environmental engineers, process engineers, graduate business economists and CAD designers.
We act in a fiduciary capacity from the basic evaluation through all service phases of the HOAI (Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers) to the commissioning, irrespective of the task in hand.
In the field of wastewater treatment, we offer our customers extensive experience in special areas in addition to the mechanical / biological treatment processes. In particular, in the topic of trace substances, such as the elimination of pharmaceutical residues, heavy metals or poorly degradable organic compounds, which are increasingly becoming the focus of consumers or in the field of nutrient recovery.

Due to the regulations of the new legal basis for sewage sludge treatment and disposal (Sewage Sludge Ordinance, Fertilizer Act, Fertilizer Ordinance and Fertilizer Ordinance), which were revised in 2017, there are serious effects on the required treatment processes before disposal of sewage sludge. We consider the field of sludge treatment in its entirety starting from thickening to stabilization and digester generation to dewatering.
