Data models are assigned physical properties
Since 1989, CAD design has been used at Schmalenberger for design and product development. This includes not only the design in geometry, but also the simulation of property and behavior of the development results. Data models as results of CAD design are assigned physical properties such as density, strength or optical property. These virtual bodies can be interacted in the computer with simulated influences such as forces, accelerations or lighting. In addition, our product developments are subjected to extensive tests by means of prototypes (see: rapid prototyping)
