Large volume sample extracts.
Effect-based monitoring in large rivers with highly diluted pollutants (low ng/l levels) as the Danube requires significant pre-concentration and the extraction of large sample volumes. At the same time the transport and preparation of large volumes to/in the lab are a big challenge. Water samples of up to 1000 L will be concentrated on a specialized device.
