Thermal oil heaters

INTEC thermal oil heaters are used to supply process heat to production plants in many different industries, such as the wood, textile, chemical, palm oil, oleo and petrochemical, plastics, pulp and paper industries.

Thermal oil as a heat transfer medium has the advantage over conventional media, such as hot water or steam, that it can be heated up to 320°C almost without pressure.

Technical data:

for mineral and synthetic heat transfer oils up to 400°C

nominal heat output: from 20 kW up to 30,000 kW

flow temperature: up to 550°C

types: oil and natural gas fired thermal oil heaters or electric heaters, heating with electricity

fuels: heavy oil, light oil, natural gas and/or production waste, biomass

Design: vertical and horizontal. In vertical design there is a possibility of upward or downward firing.

Due to the rising prices for fossil fuels, measures for heat recovery and thus for increasing efficiency are becoming more and more important. Combustion air preheaters or economizers developed to match the thermal oil heaters help to further increase the efficiency of the plants. Additional investment costs pay for themselves in a short time.

Sewage sludge - the new challenge

The agricultural disposal of sewage sludge on fields will be prohibited throughout the EU in the future. This will counteract the increasing pollution of the environment and humans by bacteria, heavy metals and drug residues.

In addition to municipal sewage sludge, this also affects residual materials from wastewater treatment, biogenic sludge, residual sludge and wet waste from industrial processes.

Economically and environmentally, thermal utilization - incineration - is the only sensible way to recycle sewage sludge and other problematic biomasses.

INTEC Engineering GmbH has the experience and technologies for innovative thermal treatment, disposal and economic utilization of biogenic, polluted sludges and residues.

The innovative disposal and utilization concept is based on the combination of drying plants with solid fuel combustion plants and process heat generation plants from INTEC.

The overall plant resulting from this combination does not emit any environmentally harmful substances into the air or soil during the process.

No energy or fuel needs to be purchased to dry the sludge and wet residuals and incinerate them. The energy released by incineration is used to generate process heat for the drying process. Optional partial electricity generation also allows additional reduction of electricity costs.

Contact drying plants for drying, hygenizing and increasing the calorific value of municipal and industrial sewage sludges thus complete the INTEC solids firing process by processing the initial biomasses into fuel suitable for storage and firing.
